Sensing As A Service (SAAS)

Successful operations rely on the timely acquisition, transmission and processing of data, which must be immediately converted into knowledge for useful action. This same Data Sensing & Integration for Real Time Networking and Analysis will shrink the world/universe through preventive networking. This will have a profound effect on everything that touches our lives. For example:

  1. HealthCare / Home Care
  2. Locator Services
  3. Intelligent Buildings
  4. Automotive/Transportation Services
  5. Telecom Management
  6. Energy Management
  7. Smart Manufacturing Facilities
  8. Oil & Gas Seismic Monitoring
  9. Casting & Forging Foundries
  10. Grid Security

As the need for sensor usage is identified, the requirement for Sensing As A Service (SAAS) is getting stronger. Companies are increasing the use of sensors through new abilities to monitor equipment, devices and processes both on-station and remotely with regards to effective operations. This insitu approach is on the critical path for achieving perfection in quality, delivery and cost for both products and services.
With SAAS, customer maintenance personnel can check the condition of equipment though out the plant/operations as well as on remote units that may be out side the plant or in remote locations.
Sensors presently available include Temperature, Humidity, Vibration, Speed, Position, Flow, Leaks, as well as a host of other applications.

Just imagine having a process that allows for a Systematic, Methodological, Analytical and Remote Technology (SMART), that improves the life styles for all around the world.
